Frequently Asked Questions

  • "Is your wool organic?" Our wool is grown and processed locally and we know personally all the handlers of it. The sheep are grazed on fields without chemicals, the wool is washed gently in mild soap, and then triple-carded with NO added chemicals. it is never carbonized or bleached. It's as close to Nature as we can possibly make it! Call us we can fax the organic certifications to you if needed.
  • "Do you ship Internationally?" Yes, anywhere in the world. "What about allergies and sensitivities?" We sell to many people with allergies and sensitivities. Most 'wool allergies' are to the chemicals used in processing commercial wool; ours has none. We have never had a customer have an adverse reaction to our products.
  •  "How can I get a sample of the materials you use?" Send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: KELLEYGREEN, PO BOX 1287, ASHLAND, OR 97520
  • How can I clean my wool underquilt / comforter / pillow? If you always keep your fine wool bedding in a washable duvet cover or double pillowcase like you should, it will seldom need cleaning. Air it occasionally on a clear day, giving it an hour of sun. It can also be dry cleaned. Be sure to air it well afterwards. We recommend using a mattress protector on top of wool toppers or futons.
  • "Is wool bedding hot in the summertime?" No, it's much cooler than synthetics. also, it doesn't hold moisture like cotton does-thus no odor, mold or mildew. Wool keeps you in the perfect comfort zone year round. We've been sleeping on 75 pounds of wool for 4 years now, and love it! Our summers here can go over 100 degrees and winter can be in the teens.
